ROSE T. LESNAK

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, March 1, 2010 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Chisholm, with Rev. Fr. Fred Method celebrating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the mass at the church on Monday. Interment will follow in Chisholm Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Rupp Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Chisholm.

Rose T. Lesnak, age 89, of Chisholm, died Saturday, February 20, 2010 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, MN. She was born May 21, 1920 in Buhl, MN to Enrico and Marry (Fattorri) Gesuelli. She was a 1938 graduate of Martin Hughes High School and received her BS degree in Elementary Education from UMD in 1942. She was a lifelong Iron Range area resident.

Rose was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, a member of the VFW Auxiliary of Hibbing and the Lake Street Senior Citizens Center. She taught elementary education in Duluth for 3 years and worked as a clerk at Ford Motor Co’s Rotunda in Detroit for 2 years.

Survivors include her daughter – Valerie (William) Rantala of Embarrass, MN; 6 grandchildren; brother – Josephs J. Gesuelli of Chisholm; several nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband – Valentine A. on 3/2/01; sons – William J. “John” on 9/10/06 and Robert J. on 12/9/09; sister – Angeline Renda; brothers – Frank and Henry Gesuelli.
