A private family memorial service celebrating Rose will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to at Rupp Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Chisholm.
Rose Badiali, 95, of Chisholm, died Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at Heritage Manor Health Care Center in Chisholm. She was born September 16, 1921, to Mary and Vaso Malkovich and was a lifelong resident of Chisholm. She was a graduate of Chisholm High School, Class of 1939.
After World War II, she married Louis Badiali in 1945. They were married for 64 years, until Louis’s death on October 18, 2009. She was a homemaker and mother to Carol and Patricia. Rose belonged to the Chisholm Methodist Church and the Order of Eastern Star.
When Louis retired from US Steel, they traveled together all over the world and the United States.
Her last years were spent at Serving Hands Assisted Living where she made many new friends and enjoyed her surroundings.
She is survived by her daughters, Carol (Richard) Lahti and Patricia (William “Bucky Joe”) Levstek; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Jim) Willard, Heather (Stephen) Olson, Amber Liesmaki, and Lindsay Lahti; four great-grandchildren, Hailey Willard, Conner Willard, Carter Olson, and Parker Olson; sister-in-law, Dorothy Prebil, and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were both of her parents, Mary and Vaso Malkovich; her husband, Louis Badiali; three sisters, Luby Devich, Mary Nordin, Mildred Frillici; and one brother, Sam Malkovich.
She will be fondly remembered as a wonderful homemaker, caring wife, loving mother, and grandmother.
